3365 India Street
Mid century, because it is that old and never changed. Strong cheap drinks and good drinks. A sort of dive bar but a great group of friendly people. Offers $2 Tuesdays at lunch and dinner.
3537 Fifth Avenue
Established in 1933 and has not changed much since. Cheap strong drinks. Friendly local folk crowd is always crowded. Good, greasy, dive bar food. Fun.
2044 Kettner Boulevard
Not so small. Great neighborhood bar. Get there early or very late because this place fills fast. Lots of beer on tap, about 40. A fun place to meet some new friends with some tables outside.
4628 Park Boulevard
A neighborhood Alehouse with some 28 beers on tap and more refrigerated bottle beers than you can count. Our only drawback, cave dark in the day. Visit at night.
1521 30th Street in South Park
The retro bar & restaurant complete with retro employees is just a kick ass cool place to hang. Try the “Mule”. seriously a fun drink in a copper mug. Trendy, casual and hip all in one.
3175 India Street in Mission Hills
The vibe is very chill here with 25 beers on tap and some 40 bottled beers. Great local beers and great food. Nice urban atmosphere for beer tasting.
777 G Street in East Village
Serving up great bers on tap and even from the cask. A gastropub serving up great farm to table food from local farms and great beer.
3794 30th Street in North Park
Meet a friend or go alone at this french urban neighborhood bar. For drinks, recommending the Mojito’s. Happy hour from 3:30-7:30pm everyday. The happy hour menu is exquisite.

George’s at the Cove
You can’t find a more beautiful setting anywhere for a place to have a drink. Spectacular ocean view atop La Jolla Cove. Two bars on two levels, including the rooftop.
